Traceability
We source our fibers directly from small local farms in NYS through our cooperative The Carbon Farm Network. By creating our supply chain from the ground up and keeping it small scale we are able to take part in it every step of the way and ensure a traceable and transparent supply chain.
Support Local
Our priority is to nurture a thriving production system within our local community. We collaborate with small, New York State-based farms that practice carbon farming and partner with local mills to produce our products.
Decentralized System
Through The CFN we are able create decentralized networks that mimic the mutual benefits found in natural systems. Our decentralized supply networks promote transparency, trust, and collaboration. They allow us and other designers in the cooperative to add deeper value to our products - through prioritizing for the well-being of the people we work with and the natural environment we support.
Our Philosophy
In industrial textile supply chains, designers are often disconnected from the farms where fibers are grown and the mills that produce their textiles. These supply chains prioritize efficiency and centralized growth, leading to opacity, greed, distrust, and competition.
